Not all bones and teeth
The importance of calcium for healthy bones and teeth is probably not news to you, but what about its role in the supporting other bodily systems and disease prevention? "Calcium is crucial to maintain life. Just about every cell in the body, including those in the heart, nerves and muscles, relies on calcium to function properly." (www.osteoporosis.ca). Research suggests that calcium may also have a role in protecting against some forms of cancer.

"Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food"
That the food we eat has a direct correlation to our state of health is no longer a hidden secret. Doctors and Nutritionists alike recommend getting your Calcium needs through your diet whenever possible, and dairy products are an excellent source of calcium. According to the Osteoporosis Society of Canada, "milk products are the richest source of easy-to-absorb calcium." (www.osteoporosis.ca). All of Olympic's dairy products are a delicious way to get up to 25% of your daily calcium requirements per serving. Discover how food can be your route to better health and well being!

The Benefits of Bacteria
Due to the myriad of benefits, including improved nutrient and mineral absorption, attributed to probiotic bacterial cultures, the calcium found in cultured dairy products (yogurt, sour cream, etc.) is more easily absorbed and "bio-available", than that found in other calcium rich foods.
