Olympic Dairy has been a leader in organic dairy since 1995.

It may seem hard to believe now, but in 1995 there wasn’t the demand for organic products that there is today and we really didn’t know if people would be interested in organic dairy products.

Without any guarantees, we shook hands with a dairy farmer and agreed to take a risk to make a better, all-around-healthier product. The farmer agreed to spend 3 years converting his Fraser Valley farm into an organic farm. Olympic agreed to purchase his organic milk. We didn’t know it at the time, but with that handshake, we became pioneers of the organic dairy industry in British Columbia.

And soon, our other suppliers supported our initiative with their commitment to source all-organic ingredients.

Since then, Olympic has maintained our commitment to support local farmers. All of our dairy comes from farms within a 60 kilometer radius of our plant, and much of our fruits come from a supplier 2 blocks up the road.

Our suppliers are an important part of our community. Working closely with them helps to ensure the quality, freshness and taste of our product, sustains the economic growth of our communities and keeps our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum.

Olympic is now the largest manufacturer of organic dairy products in Western Canada. And since our launch into Quebec in 2005, Ontario in 2008 and Atlantic Canada in 2009, Olympic has emerged as a leader in the organic Canadian organic dairy industry.
